3 Shifts That Will Change How You Show Up for Yourself. Lessons from Powerhouse

A couple of years ago, I sat at this women’s event feeling both nervous and expectant. I didn’t have all the answers yet, but I had this whisper inside of me that said something needed to change. That day lit a fire I couldn’t ignore.

Fast forward to this year. I walked into the same event, but this time as a woman who had already taken the leap, started the business, and said yes to my calling. And yet… the words, stories, and reminders I heard from the stage still cut right to my core.

These weren’t just motivational soundbites. They were truth-telling moments that made me stop, reflect, and realize I still had deeper layers to uncover in how I live, lead, and grow.

Here are three shifts that I’m already seeing ripple into my life and business:

1. Triggers are Invitations

The things that frustrate us or spark defensiveness aren’t random. They’re invitations. They reveal unhealed places in us that want attention. Facing it gives us the chance to respond with more freedom and lightness.

2. Authenticity is Influence

I watched women on stage laugh one moment and cry the next, and it hit me again: people don’t connect with perfection, they connect with realness. When we allow ourselves to show up as the full spectrum of who we are, we give others permission to do the same. That kind of authenticity is influence and it changes everything about how we lead, serve, and build relationships.

3. Abundance Lives in Uncertainty

One speaker reminded us that abundance isn’t tied to bank accounts, titles, or achievements. It’s actually found in the uncertainty and in the seasons where we don’t have all the answers but choose to trust anyway. That’s where peace and joy meet us, and that’s where we grow into the next version of who we are called to be.

Walking away from this event, I felt both humbled and fired up.

Growth is never a one-and-done moment. It’s a continual process of becoming.

And every time we lean into it, we uncover more freedom, more clarity, and more courage to live the life God is calling us toward.
