Because being stuck doesn’t mean you failed — it might just mean you paused.
Let’s talk about something I think a lot of us secretly battle but rarely say out loud:
“I was doing so well… and now I feel like I can’t get it together again.”
Whether it's that podcast you launched, the fitness routine you swore you'd keep up, the side business you started dreaming about, or even the smallest habit you were proud of — there's nothing more frustrating than losing momentum on something that once felt so aligned.
I know this feeling well.
Actually, I recorded this week’s episode right from inside that space — not on the other side of it, not with the answers fully figured out. But in the messy middle… where you want to get back to the thing, but everything inside you is resisting it.
So if you’re in that space too? This post (and this episode) is for you.
When Life Happens… and the Groove Disappears
I was crushing it.
I had just come off a launch for my signature coaching offer, I was showing up consistently, talking with amazing humans about their purpose-driven business ideas, and it finally felt like I was in a powerful flow.
Then… I broke my ankle. (If you haven’t checked out the prior episode– I share the whole doozy of a situation there!)
Cue the physical and emotional chaos — travel, family, logistics, pain, and everything in between.
And just like that, my podcast rhythm fell off. My energy dipped. And all of a sudden… hitting “record” again felt like the biggest mountain.
But here’s the thing: this isn’t just about a podcast. This is about how any of us respond when life knocks us out of sync.
The Lie We Believe When We Fall Behind
One of the most defeating feelings isn’t just losing momentum — it’s the voice that says:
“You’re behind. You failed. You might as well give up.”
We start to think that getting back into the routine means we also have to catch up… to somehow make up for lost time, energy, consistency.
That pressure alone can keep us frozen. So instead of taking a small step forward, we take none. Because it all feels too heavy.
But what if the thing we’re calling “failure”… was really just meant to be a pause?
Here’s the Reframe That Shifted Everything for Me
This episode is about one powerful mindset shift:
“I didn’t fail. I paused. And I get to press play again.”
That’s it.
No need to replay the guilt.
No need to go back to the starting line.
No need to catch up to some version of yourself who was on a roll two weeks ago.
You just pick it up — right here. Right where you are.
And if you’re willing to believe that progress isn’t erased by a pause, you’ll find that restart feels a whole lot lighter.
A Question for You Today:
What’s one thing you’ve paused… that you’re ready to press play on again?
Maybe it’s your morning routine.
Maybe it’s your business idea.
Maybe it’s your faith practice, your workouts, or your writing habit.
Whatever it is — I want to remind you:
➡️ You are not behind.
➡️ You are not broken.
➡️ You just paused.
And now… you get to press play again.
